SteelRoots released an early viewing of Episode 4 from Season 2 of the Uprising.

We were blessed to be able to spend some time with the Metal Mullisha and talk life.

The Lusk family and the Mullisha are in our deepest prayers.

Just got back from production on Episode 5 of Uprising (www.steelroots.com/theuprising) – amazing trip.  Beautiful landscape and fresh air in Mammoth Mountains really does a city boy good.  So fortunate to be working with such amazing talent (Garrett Marks and Luke Korver – mi camera op amigos). Off to the edit bay now to chop away.

the uprising season 1 episode 7

by eliotrausch on Mar.01, 2009, under Phos Stories, Video Stories

One of our favorite Episodes of the Uprising (www.steelroots.com/theuprising). Luke and myself headed to Liverpool to pull down an episode that explored the life of pro-skater Brian Sumner. Luke was shooter / audio genius and I stepped in as producer / director / editor. We were well pleased with the final Episode. This was our first rough cut – no mix or correction.

fox sports international tony

by eliotrausch on Mar.01, 2009, under Phos Stories, Video Stories

Fox Sports International approached us and asked if we could be the one stop shop for a soccer commercial campaign. Luke and I scurried to produce / direct /cast / and edit, a guerrilla style, raw portrayal, of a day in the life of some real soccer kids. Tony was a one of the strongest players on his El Camino Soccer Team. Born and raised in Compton, Tony lives with his father and his father’s friend in a small studio deep within the city. He told us soccer would be the only way he’d be able to make it out of Compton alive. He kindly took us around and pointed out where he grew up and even where some of his friends had been shot. He also took us to the soccer field where he grew up as a kid, it now acts as a landmark that separates the conflicting Blood and Crip neighborhood. Thanks Tony.

Born and raised in Torrance, Eliseo lives with his family, who originally came here from Mexico and survived off working in the family’s lawn mowing service.  It has gone on to become a full functioning business, allowing Eliseo to attend college and pursue his dreams. Eliseo finds comfort in prayer and good music which motivate himself before every game.  He hopes to one day make his father proud and become a professional goalie. Thanks Eliseo.

Also playing in several other sports, Joe spends most of his time active in competition and training to hopefully become pro one day.  Due to NCAA rules, Joe donated his time to us  – so we got a deal and he got a cool video.  We met up with him inside the stadium he considers home. Thanks for sneaking us in Joe.

5 hours with woody

by eliotrausch on Mar.01, 2009, under Phos Stories, Video Stories

A friend of mine who was going through a hard time was trying to raise money for his dog who had cancer. “Woody” had asked me why can’t all friends be as loyal as his dog Oden. Shortly there after I got inspired and took a trip one Saturday morning out to Long Beach. 1 handheld mini DV camera – a little stock footage – and a day with my friend…the rest is “5 hours with Woody”.

fuel tv – insane cinema

by eliotrausch on Mar.01, 2009, under Phos Stories, Video Stories

One of the first promo’s I had a chance to produce and Edit along side Oren Hatum.  Working out of a little bedroom in El Porto Manhattan Beach – Ian Douglas of Saltmine.tv gave me a crack at this commercial that would later become Fuel Tvs favorite, on heavy rotation. Also a promo that would go on to win Gold at Promax – New York. Thanks Ian for believing in me.
